You can significantly lower your cost of living by moving to cohousing

People don’t generally move into cohousing to save money.  The house prices are about the same.  Rather, they move for the increased happiness, connections and sense of purpose (see my Home Happiness Calculator!).

But if you consider the lifestyle cost savings of cohousing, you save a lot of money over your life. I estimate that my family will save at least $1.3 million dollars by living in cohousing.
